The browser based FIFA Web App is now up and running for FIFA 19 Ultimate Team so players can start opening packs early.

If you’re eagerly anticipating the release of FIFA 19 in under a week and you’ve already got your pocket money saved up to spend on packs, your wait has ended! The FIFA 19 Ultimate Team web app is available now so you can jump into Ultimate Team, open packs and start building your squads from the comfort of your laptop or phone.

This is what the web app looked like in FIFA 18. Image courtesy of @UltimateTeamUK.

How do you access the FIFA web app? That’s simple: head here and log in with your EA account details. If you’ve only played Ultimate Team on the Switch, you won’t be able to get onto the web app but players from every other platform should have no problem. There’s also going to be a smartphone app on the App Store and Google Play, but it’s not currently available. Sit tight and check back in a few days.

What do you get with the web app? It’s essentially everything Ultimate Team except for the matches themselves. You can buy and open packs, create squads, put players and cards on the transfer market and even complete squad building challenges through the app. This year, it also tells you your progress toward completing daily and weekly challenges.

Hopefully the web app will tide you over for the few days until the game launches. If you’ve pre-ordered, you can expect access on September 25 while everyone else will get the game on September 28. If you haven’t already, make sure you check out the FIFA 19 demo that came out last week. You can practice with a bunch of top teams in Champions League group stage matches including Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus and Bayern Munich.
