The 2018 Call of Duty World Champions will be joining Team Envy and playing alongside Huke for Black Ops 4.

The Evil Geniuses roster, 2018 Call of Duty World Champions Patrick “ACHES” Price, Bryan “Apathy” Zhelyazkov, Adam “Assault” Garcia, and Justin “SiLLY” Fargo-Palmer, have signed with Team Envy for the Black Ops 4 season. Joining them on the roster is Cuyler “Huke” Garland, as the game moves to a new five vs five format for the CWL in 2019. Additionally, the team has picked up former Evil Geniuses coach Embry “Bevils” Bevil to be the head coach of the new Team Envy roster.

ACHES and Apathy both have previous experience playing on Team Envy, with ACHES competing on the team from October 2015 to April 2016, while Apathy won his first World Championship with the team during his tenure from April 2016 to August 2017.

Former Team Envy players Martin Chino, Nicholas “Classic” DiCostanzo, and Jacob “Decemate” Cato will need to find a new team to compete with for CWL, after being let go to make room for the incoming Evil Geniuses players.

“Today’s announcement is very bittersweet for me personally, but I’m extremely grateful I was able to win an unforgettable World Championship under the EG banner,” ACHES said in Evil Geniuses’ announcement. “With the format switch to 5v5, it put us in a very tough predicament. If the CWL stayed 4v4, we had every intention of continuing to #BleedBlue and signing long term with EG. It is extremely disappointing that Activision allowed such a significant announcement to happen so late, putting us in this situation with no time to plan accordingly; I feel that EG are left in an undeserving position because of it.”

With the move to 5v5 and the addition of Huke to the line-up, these defending world champions look to be in prime shape to continue their high-quality performances. The new roster will make its debut at CWL Las Vegas, during the first Black Ops 4 major in December of this year.
