The Danish powerhouse has once again claimed victory at a Major, taking down Na'Vi to win FACEIT London.

After a grueling three-week long competition, the Danish powerhouse team Astralis has once again secured victory at a Major tournament. Taking down Natus Vincere in just two maps, Astralis has once again cemented their place as one of the best CS: GO teams in the world. Here’s a brief breakdown of the series.

Match One – Nuke

The first clash between these two teams saw Na’Vi take an early lead thanks to a strong pistol round. Astralis managed to stabilize however and went on a nine-round winning streak to retake the lead before Na’Vi managed to find their footing once again. At the half-time mark, Astralis had a firm 11-4 lead over their opponents.

The second half was a back and forth affair, with Na’Vi again scoring first blood to take the round. Both teams looked to gain an advantage over their opponents, before Astralis managed to once again find an advantage and run with it, ultimately ending the match 16-6.

Match Two – Overpass.

The second clash saw Astralis take a 4-match winning streak to open up the game, before Na’Vi bounced back with a small streak of their own. Both teams battled hard for this map, ending the first half 9-6 in favor of Astralis.

The second half again saw Astralis take an early lead, finally falling after claiming the first 5 rounds in a row once again. Na’Vi tried their best to fight back, however the match would ultimately end in favor of Astralis, 16-9. A better result than the first clash, but not good enough to claim the win and force a map three showdown.

This Major victory has firmly established Astralis as the best team for 2018, marking their fifth title of the year. With such an accolade under their belt, it’s no wonder this team will be fondly remembered as one of the greatest in Counter-Strike history.
