Popular Overwatch player dafran has denied reports that he is joining an Overwatch League team for Season 2.

With eight expansion teams set to join the Overwatch League in season 2, the rostermania for professional Overwatch is at an all-time high as the expansion teams and the Season 1 teams look to build the best rosters they can for the next season of the Overwatch League. One Overwatch player that has been the subject of speculation regarding his participation in Season 2 is Daniel "dafran" Francesca who had been reported to have been approved to join the Atlanta Overwatch League expansion team.

The report of dafran having been approved to join the Atlanta expansion team had been made by former professional player and current Overwatch esports content creator Michael "mykL" Padilla. Having accurately reported on previous league roster leaks, mykL has become a source of insider information for the community.

During a recent stream, mykL revealed that dafran had reportedly been approved by Blizzard to play in Season 2 of the league for Atlanta. You can find footage of the announcement from mykL regarding dafran below.

However, during a stream from dafran, the former professional player turned popular Twitch streamer went on to deny the reports that he was set to join the league after viewers had begun congratulating him on his approval to join the Atlanta expansion team for Season 2.

"You guys really think I was f**king going to join Overwatch League? You guys really f**king think that? You f**king dumbasses," said dafran. "That's all I'm gonna say. That's all I'm gonna say.

The fan favorite member of the community for Blizzard's popular first person shooter then went to "thank" mykL for his alleged leak stating that dafran had been approved to join the roster of the Atlanta organization and that he has been a "great piece of the puzzle".

With dafran denying his reported joining of the Overwatch League, it looks as though fans of the Twitch streamer will have to wait for an official announcement from the Atlanta team or any other organization before knowing for certain if dafran will indeed be playing in Season 2.
