Look, Lineage 2 Revolution. If you want to add Batman to your game, we're not going to stop you. In the meantime, the October patch is going to be massive, with Orcs being added.

If Fortnite can add Thanos from Avengers Infinity War into their game, Lineage 2 Revolution can totally add Batman. The game announced today that they were bringing the long-awaited Orc race to the game and teased the Warner Brothers partnership all in one fell swoop.

The new "Dawn of Destruction" update will be available sometime in October, which comes with a full list of additions to the game.

Starting off, an entirely new race will be added to the game: Orcs. They will start at Level 180 with 500,000 Combat Power. Additionally, there's some Orc-exclusive weapons is the Claws, Two-Handed Swords, and Wands. Orcs will come with the 1st Class Transfer already completed, and can start the 2nd Slass Transfer Quest at level 250.

For those that don't care about the new race, a new region has been announced for the update named Avento and the level cap is now 320, up from 260 just in the past 5 months. ‘Draconian’ monsters await players that head to Avento, though. Cross server Dungeon Matchmaking is going to help people find new allies along the way as well, especially with the addition of new servers and other servers merging in this update.

Another feature is called "2nd Class Transfer – Part 2", but no additional details are included on what all this entails. They are working on implementing a 1:1 PVP System for Magnadin and Clan Hall, which is a friendly match-up sparring mode. Good news, though, Netmarble assures players that "it does not affect Chaotic Value and players may revive instantly at no cost." Additionally, the Tower of Insolence is getting a size increase to 145 floors. Inventory will also be able to be expanded to up to 600 slots. The Monster Codex is getting some improvements as well.

My favorite part of the update is the Power Saver Mode, which saves "battery power when automatically running Auto-quest, Elite Dungeons, etc. for long periods of time." In a heavy game like Lineage 2, it's likely that this is an important step for avid players.

But, the big deal is the "time-limited, special event featuring iconic Batman characters" that is teased in the same press release. While "Batman" is the only name given, additional characters may be involved as well, based on the wording given. This is likely to include Joker, Robin, Catwoman, and similar offerings, but no other details have been given just yet. Can we get batarangs and Robin's staff? Or maybe we'll see Catwoman's whip as a weapon?

Expect the new update to come out in October, but no official date has been given just yet. You play MMOs, so check out our (harsh) thoughts on World of Warcraft's new Warfronts mode.
