It's the weekend of new champions, as aphromoo brings out his beloved Bard to try and take down his former team.

Grudge matches are always fun to watch. Whether it’s between two teams that have had a rivalry for a long time, or when the teams are competing for a single goal, nothing gets the blood pumping more than a match with some history behind it. So is it any surprise that a match that features Counter Logic Gaming taking on 100 Thieves, the team that CLG’s former team captain and shot caller Zaqueri “aphromoo” Black now plays for, is one of the more hyped up matches of the week.

In order to try and take down his former team, aphromoo elected to pick Bard, a champion that hasn’t seen any playtime in the NA LCS as of yet, but a champion that aphromoo has shown incredible skill and mastery of.

The gold advantage bounced wildly between the two teams, at multiple moments both teams could claim that they were ahead by more than 2k gold, and yet the teams could not seem to get enough of an advantage over each other to end the game.

With both teams taking multiple objectives, and both teams demonstrating that they were capable of defending from behind, it took a godly Baron steal by 100 Thieves jungler William “Meteos” Hartman, followed by a complete wipe of CLG, before 100 Thieves were able to finally close out the game, and aphromoo was able to take down his former team.

In the post-game interview, aphromoo was kind enough to give an insight into how shot calling works for his team.

With another surprise pick taking place today, the NA LCS is becoming more and more diverse on the rift.
