The plucky minor region team have managed to carve out a fanbase for themselves and a spot at the main event of the 2018 League of Legends World Championships.

It’s not everyday that a minor region will have the opportunity to go toe-to-toe with some of the best teams in the world, but G-Rex seem determined to make the most of the opportunity they’ve been given after earning a spot at the main event of Worlds 2018. After a tough Play-In stage and a tough series against Bahçe?ehir SuperMassive, G-Rex are now set to battle against the best in the world, and hopefully bring glory to the LMS region. Here’s a brief breakdown of the series between G-Rex and Bahçe?ehir SuperMassive.

Match One

The first clash saw G-Rex take a minor lead early on but fail to maintain their grasp on the match. SuperMassive managed to turn the tides with a series of objectives and skirmishes, before launching an all-out assault on the base of G-Rex, ultimately wiping them from the map and claiming victory in this first game.

Match Two

The second clash saw SuperMassive again build a lead through their objective control, however this time it was G-Rex who provided the pressure, picking up key kills and objectives to turn the tides wherever possible. Though SuperMassive did manage to build an impressive lead, they quickly lost momentum in the face of the G-Rex assault, costing them the match in the end.

Match Three

The third match was another tough battle for both teams, with neither side willing to concede control of the map. When the skirmishes came, they were frequent and brutal, with neither team walking away unscathed, though in the end it was G-Rex who prevailed once again as the lead they had built became too much for SuperMassive.

Match Four

The final showdown between these two teams saw G-Rex hammer the nail into the coffin of SuperMassive’s World Championship hopes. A dominating performance spoke volumes of the ability for G-Rex to stay motivated as they claimed the lions share of objectives and prevented SuperMassive from making any attempts at a comeback.

With their victory, G-Rex will move on to face the remaining top teams in the world for a shot at glory. Can the plucky dinosaur squad claim victory in their group?
