With the rise of popularity that Fortnite Battle Royale has seen in the past year, many players have took on the challenge of breaking world records for various feats in the popular title. One of the most popular and attempted world records for Fortnite is the squad kill record where four players try to collect as many eliminations together as possible.
Back during the Week 1 trial for the Fortnite Fall Skirmish, squads from each of the five clubs were tasked with collecting as many eliminations as possible. This led to the Fortnite squad kill record for PC being broken three times in 24 hours. Now, a group of Playstation 4 players have broken the console squad kill record in an impressive display of skill.
The console squad kill record was broken by the team of Fortitude Fqrbes, Nexjs, tactjc and TTV_NadeXC with an elimination total of 61 kills. The total of 61 eliminations broke the previous Fortnite console squad kill record of 59 eliminations. This new entry in the area of Fortnite world records is also the first time a squad on PC or console have been able to hit or surpass the 60 elimination mark. Considering a match only has 99 players, this console kill total means that this world records group eliminated almost two thirds of the entire lobby by themselves.
