Pokemon Go has announced that Gen 4 Pokemon of the Sinnoh Region, such as Turtwig, Piplup and Giratina, will be coming to the hit mobile game in the future.

The hit mobile game of Pokemon Go is no stranger to content updates, and on Tuesday, October 9th it was announced that Pokemon Go would be adding various Gen 4 Pokemon from the Sinnoh region to its world. The official YouTube Channel for the franchise uploaded a announcement video showing off a few of the Gen 4 starters from the Sinnoh Region that players can expect to come across in Pokemon Go in the near future.

No specific date for when the new creatures from the popular Nintendo franchise would be making their debut in the popular augmented reality mobile game was stated in the announcement video. However, viewers were treated to an early look at a Turtwig, Chimcar and Piplup all hanging out in various environments. Viewers also likely noticed at the end of the Go video that what looks to to be the legendary Gen 4 character from the Sinnoh Region in Giratina was also teased in the video.

With the likes of the Gen 4 starters of Chimcar, Piplup and Turtwig and what looks to be the legendary creature of Giratina, the Sinnoh Region update for Go will likely be a very highly anticipated update for the mobile title. The introduction of the Gen 4 starters first would also be the first time that Niantic has done so to introduce a new generation of characters to the title which would make it feel more like traditional dive into a new area full of new Pokemon to catch and train.

It remains to be seen when exactly Niantic will be adding the Gen 4 starters and other possible creatures from the Sinnoh Region to Pokemon Go. With Mewtwo set to stop being in the title on october 20th, this date or soon after would mark a perfect time for Niantic to add these new additions to continue keeping the mobile title fresh for avid players and to possibly bring in new or returning trainers.
