Team SoloMid Releases Fortnite Roster Highlight Video

The storied esports organization announced their competitive Fortnite roster back in early February on their team website. Today, Team SoloMid released an epic highlight video showing off the skills of their talented roster.

With the massive success of Epic Games' Fortnite, esports organizations are beginning to create teams of competitive players to represent them. One of these organizations is Team SoloMid (TSM). Mostly know for their League of Legends team, TSM announced on their website back in early February the signing of a four person competitive Fortnite roster.

The roster consists of Ali "Myth" Kabbani, Darryle "Hamlinz" Hamlin, "CaMills" and "Daequan". All four of these players have grown large folllowings in the Fortnite community, due to their extreme skill and tendency to make highlight plays reguarly. In order to show off why they signed these players to their organization, TSM released a highlight video today to show off some of their players' best plays, and to introduce them to fans who may have not seen them in action yet.

After watching this video, it is easy to see why these players were chosen by Team SoloMid to represent the organization in competitive Fortnite. From an incredible shot with a RPG to wiping out entire squads by themselves using only pistols and shotguns, these four are the cream of the crop for talented Fortnite players. With the video showing that the team already has strong chemistry with each other, it is safe to say that TSM will be one of strongest teams in Fortnite, as the esports scene for the Battle Royale title continues to grow.

While a established esports scene for Fortnite has not been created, if a organization like TSM is ready to invest in an enitre team, it is clear that Fortnite has a great amount of potential to make a name for itself in the industry. However, there are organizations who are wary of Battle Royale games as esports, due to their heavy reliance on randomization, which could make creating a fair and competitive environment for players difficult.

Will games like Fortnite and Player Unknown's Battlegrounds become the next top esports, or will they never touch the likes of League of Legends or Counter Strike: Global Offensive?
