The month of October is full of surprises from Pokemon Go. In addition to the Psychic-type event currently going on, a potential Ghost-type event later in the month, and the official information about obtaining Meltan dropping this week, Niantic is introducing an event that's all about girl power.
The female form of Nidoran is more common from the October 11 to 12 (at 1PM PDT), as well as Nidorina and Nidoqueen. The shiny forms of all three are available in the wild as well during this limited event.
Trainers, a greater number of female Pokémon have now been spotted in the wild until October 12 at 1 p.m. PDT. Keep an eye out, as lucky Trainers might also spot a Shiny Nidoran?, Nidorina, or Nidoqueen ? ! Enjoy searching for Nidoran? and friends on this special day! pic.twitter.com/LJdTKdNNj8

Additionally, female Pikachu and Wobbuffet are going to be more common. Pokemon Go keeps the differences between males and females that the core games have, meaning Pikachus are likely to have heart-shaped tail tips and Wobbuffets will have a little red lipstick on their lips. Clefairy is directly mentioned as being more available during the event, but it has no gender differences as a species. It is currently unknown if additional Pokemon will be involved in this short event, but this article will be updated if so.
Keep an eye out for Pokemon from this event on your tracker as they're mixed in with the Psychic types, such as Droseee and Abra, currently being available more frequently. Shiny Drowsee are a little more frequent at the same time currently too. Also, don't forget that any of the Gen 1 Pokemon caught during these events (even the shiny ones) will be able to be transferred to Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu and Let's Go Eevee.
