Ever since he retired from being a professional athlete in 2017, he’s been playing soccer. He started training with Norwegian club Stromsgodset earlier this year and featured in a friendly match against Norway Under-19s. He then captained the World XI at Soccer Aid 2018, wearing the number “9.58” to represent his 9.58 second 100 metre world record. Now, he’s been playing soccer down under for the Central Coast Mariners.
In a pre-season friendly against Macarthur South West United, Bolt made his professional debut as the sole striker in a 4-5-1 formation. He bagged two goals in the second half, securing a 4-0 win over the lower league club, but the standout performance was his re-enactment of the Hype dance from Fortnite. Unlocked at tier 63 of the Season 4 battle pass, the dance quickly became a fan favorite. Check out Bolt’s moves below.

That's two goals tonight for @usainbolt!! What a moment in sport, don't think limits! #CCMFC ? @FOXFOOTBALL pic.twitter.com/0NeIH9i49V
Impressive stuff from the Jamaican. We had no idea he was a Fortnite fan. Maybe he’ll be the next professional athlete to start streaming the game on Twitch? Of course, he’s definitely not the first to celebrate with a Fortnite dance on the pitch. Dele Alli and Antoine Griezmann both did it at the World Cup, MMA fighter Michael Page channeled Fortnite in a celebration, Joe Mixon celebrated in the NFL, the list goes on.
The celebration was for his second goal. Check out the first below - in terms of ball skill, it was much more impressive.

Bolt has previously said that he’s a boyhood Manchester United fan and he’d love to play for the Premier League club, but we reckon it’s a while before he’ll reach that point. Central Coast Mariners, the team Bolt currently represents, has said in a tweet that the game “will go down as one of the most memorable games in Australian football history.”
