A new tournament game mode for Fortnite Battle Royale was recently leaked by Epic Games. This leak prompted dataminers to investigate further in the files of Fortnite and find scheduling information and other details regarding the tournament game mode for Fortnite.
The leaked tournament game mode looks to be a game wide tournament system that every player will have the ability to compete in. Currently, it has been uncovered that the new tournament game mode for Fortnite will include events for solos, duos and squads. You can find the description of each variety of events below. However, the description for the solo competitions has not yet been uncovered.
Duos - Grab a friend and take on the world – until you are the last two left. Three days in a row of tough Duo.
Squads - Join your friends every Friday and kick off your weekend with some exciting Squad action. Can your team rise to the top?
Each of the different events for the new game mode of Fortnite will feature different formats and will have their dedicated set of dates that they will occur between except for the squads tournament which will be taking place every Friday.
Solo - Salty Springs Cup
The solo event for the upcoming Fortnite tournament game mode will be taking place from October 27th to October 31st and will go by the name of the Salty Springs Cup. You can find the description of the Salt Springs Cup solo tournament below.
"One week and three attempts to prove you’re the saltiest that Salty Springs has to offer. Compete to take home a pin in the Salty Springs Cup."
Duos - Tomato Temple Cup
The Tomato Temple Cup will be the duos event for the new game mode and will be taking place from October 28th to November 1st. You can find the description for the Tomato Temple Cup duos tournament below.

Squads - Fortnite Friday Night
Taking place every Friday once the tournament game mode for Fortnite is added into the battle royale title, the Fortnite Friday Night squads event will be a weekly event that will surely grab the attention of the community on a consistent basis. At the time of this writing, it is currently unclear what kinds of rewards that players will receive for achieving victory in either of the three events for the Fortnite tournament game mode besides from knowing that scoring 20 total points in a session will earn you a shiny pin. However, with the solos event set to kick off in two weeks on Saturday, October 27th, interested players will not have too long to wait to find out what a shiny pin is.
