FaZe Clan Fortnite Battle Royale player Turner "Tfue" Tenney recently brought a major game breaking glitch and exploit that causes the majority of Tilted Towers to be destroyed to the attention of the Fortnite community while streaming a Playgrounds match.
It is unclear what exactly causes the Tilted Towers destruction glitch and exploit, but it looks as though Tfue of FaZe Clan had a very clear understanding of how the glitch and exploit works, as he was able to perform it very quickly. The Fortnite glitch and exploit involves the title treating non-player constructed structures as player constructed. This results many of the buildings in Tilted Towers to be destroyed when the connection to the ground is broken, as Tfue demonstrated in a now viral clip.
However, Epic Games took quick notice of the clip from Tfue demonstrating the destructive nature of the glitch and exploit showed off by Tfue and employed a hotfix that fixed the issue of non-player constructed structures from being destroyed unintentionally. Unfortunately, this means that any members of the Fortnite community who were wanting to try out the glitch and exploit pulled off by Tfue on their own can no longer do so.
It is not surprising to see Epic Games quickly jump to fix the bug that Tfue used to destroy the majority of Tilted Towers, as players performing this action in live matches would greatly ruin the combat experience for players who decided to start a match by landing in Tilted Towers.
We've released a server update to address an issue causing the unintended destruction of non-player structures. No download or downtime is required.
