All the action from day four of the group stage at the 2018 League of Legends World Championships.

The action from the League of Legends World Championships has only increased in its hype, as the teams battle hard to earn a spot in the playoffs and potentially win glory and fame for both their team, and their region. It’s looking increasingly likely that we’ll see some new faces leaving the group stage, however that just means that all the teams will have to work that much harder to claim victory and advance. Here’s a brief breakdown of the action from day four.

Afreeca Freecs vs Phong Vu Buffalo

The Afreeca Freecs are on the board, finding their first victory at the tournament. This clash was fairly straightforward, with AF easily dominating the map and their opponents in both objectives and kills. If AF can find this kind of result against the other teams in their group, they may still have a chance at advancing to the playoffs.

G2 Esports vs Flash Wolves

An extremely low kill game surprised many fans, as G2 managed to find victory through objectives, rather than brute strength. Flash Wolves certainly put up a fight, however G2 played the map almost perfectly in their quest for victory. Both of these teams now stand at 2-1, meaning the action can only heat up for this group.

Invictus Gaming vs 100 Thieves

Invictus Gaming have found their third consecutive victory at this event, taking down all the other teams in their group with relative ease. 100 Thieves did put up something of a fight, however they’ll need to do something to alleviate early game pressure in the bot lane, otherwise they’ll find themselves unable to truly contend with the stronger teams.

G-Rex vs Fnatic

A strong performance from Fnatic in this clash saw them firmly establish themselves as a contender to leave groups. It seems unlikely that Fnatic won’t advance to the playoffs, though whether they will be the first or second seed remains to be seen.

Team Liquid vs MAD Team

Team Liquid have finally put themselves on the board, taking down MAD Team with relative ease. The advantages TL managed to build in the mid-game built the foundation for their win, however a shaky early game points to a lack of confidence in themselves. If Team Liquid can shake off the cobwebs and embrace the chaos that is the NA LCS style, they might stand a better chance of advancing.

KT Rolster vs Edward Gaming

KT Rolster remain the beacon of hope for Korean fans, as they put up their third straight victory at this event. While the other LCK teams seem to be struggling, KT seem to have no trouble mixing things up to play both passive and aggressive. Could this be the year KT fans finally get what they want?

With the matches from day four now complete, we move into a series of single group days, where the teams will play out all their remaining games in a single day. This is where we’ll find out which teams are going to advance, and which teams will be sent home to face the criticism their fans will surely level at them.
