The addition of these new players means the Florida Mayhem can technically field a full South Korean team.

The Florida Mayhem have signed three new players to their roster for the upcoming Overwatch League 2019 season, Choi “Kris” Jun-Soo, Lee “BQB” Sang-Bum, and Yoon “Swon” Sang-Won. While revealed on Twitter, the players themselves are still pending approval from Blizzard.

Support main, Kris, was formerly of Meta Athena since late 2016, and played in the first season of South Korean Overwatch Contenders 2018, however failed to qualify for playoffs and were forced to play in the Trials to keep their spot. Unfortunately, they failed there, and subsequently failed to qualify for season three through the Open Division.

BQB, in contrast, was a part of the X6-Gaming South Korean Contenders Season One Champions, however has been inactive for some time after being fined in May for boosting. Swon was a member of team NRG, however did not reach playoffs, nor had to compete in relegation matches to keep their spot, something of a balance between the other two players.

These three players are joining a nearly fully South Korean Florida Mayhem roster, with only Kevyn “TviQ” Lindström, who is Swedish, and Damon “Apply” Conti, who is American, remaining. If the language barrier becomes too much of an issue, TviQ and Apply may be forced into a backseat role on the team, however the Florida Mayhem have not yet made any announcement of the sort.
