After a very disappointing first season, the Shanghai Dragons have returned with a new roster for next year's competition.

The Shanghai Dragons are back, and they have a new roster looking to right the wrongs made during the inaugural season of the Overwatch League. After their disastrous first season, the Shanghai Dragons have undergone a major revamp, removing nearly the entire roster and replacing them with a majority of players from KongDoo Panthera.

“Its recruitment efforts and the team roster have been eagerly anticipated by Overwatch fans around the world since Shanghai Dragons of the Overwatch League announced the appointment of its head coach Seung-hwan "BlueHaS" Wi. After months of trials and evaluations, Min-seong "diem" Bae, Jin-hyeok "DDing" Yang, Young-jin "YOUNGJIN" Jin, Seong-hyeon "Luffy" Yang, Kyung-woo "CoMa" Son, and Jun-hwan "GuardiaN" are made members of Shanghai Dragons, effective immediately. They join Weida "Diya" Lu, Eui-seok "Fearless" Lee, and Se-yeon "Geguri" Kim to compete in Overwatch League Season 2 under Coach BlueHaS.”

With a new majority Korean squad, the Shanghai Dragons will hopefully avoid some of the problems they faced in season one of the Overwatch League, with the language barrier hopefully no longer a concern. As to the individual skill level of the new roster, KongDoo Panthera and their players have proven to be quite a force in the Overwatch Contenders.
