Super League Gaming Expands City Coverage for League of Legends

New city teams include Atlanta, Philadelphia, Tampa Bay, and Washington.

Amateur eSports organization Super League Gaming has announced the addition of four new teams to their National City League Tournament. With the addition of Atlanta Georgia, Philadelphia Pennsylvania, Tampa Bay Florida, and Washington D.C., the league now stands at sixteen cities across the country, making it easier than ever for amateur players to get a taste of the big leagues.

“With our expanded sixteen city national footprint, Super League Gaming has truly established itself as the go-to place for amateur eSports experiences,” said Ann Hand, Super League Gaming CEO. “The league’s addition of Atlanta, Tampa Bay, Philadelphia, and Washington D.C. highlights the incredible growth and hunger for this type of premium gaming competition. Over the last two years, Super League Gaming has played host to more than fifteen-hundred events, and has allowed thousands of players the chance to compete for their team, regardless of their skill level. Each city team features multiple individual teams of varying skill levels, allowing everyone a chance to play for their city and experience a taste of life as a pro player.

While Super League Gaming is primarily based in the United States, CEO Ann Hand has talked about their desire to expand beyond the borders, with plans to include city teams in other countries, such as China. In addition, Super League Gaming intends to partner with more local based sponsors, in order to better foster a sense of community within the city teams, allowing for greater fan interaction.
