The Power Plant is home to powerful Electric-type Pokemon, none more powerful than the legendary bird Zapdos! Here's how to get to the Power Plant and where to find Zapdos!

The Power Plant was a unique side-"dungeon" so to speak within the original Pokemon games. It was also the home of Zapdos, one of the first legendary Pokemon you encountered in the games. The Power Plan returns in Pokemon: Let's Go! and is again the home for the legendary thunder chicken. Here's how to get there and how to fight Zapdos.

How to Get to the Power Plant in Pokemon: Let's Go!

Don't worry - you won't have to go through Rock Tunnel again!

Head to Route 10, to this Pokemon Center. It should look familiar - this is where you met Lorelai for the first time. Instead of heading to the left, use Sea Skim to surf the water to your right and follow the path to the end. When you arrive, make sure to go around to the right of the building to find a Thunder Stone.

Not that you can use it on your starters or anything...

The Power Plant is home to Pokemon like Weezing, Koffing, Voltorb, and Electabuzz. There are also Electrodes disguised as dropped Poké Balls, which will appear with the white side up, rather than red. Keep exploring the Power Plant and you’ll eventually encounter Zapdos.

The Bird itself.

Save your game before beginning the encounter, then get ready to fight. Zapdos is an Electric/Flying Pokemon, and comes equipped with those moves in spades. Your ideal counters will be Golem and Rhydon, but if you don't have them, any strong Rock-type Pokemon will do. Defeat Zapdos and get ready to catch it - but don't use your Master Ball! Save it for Mewtwo. Instead, use Ultra Balls, along with the various levels of Razz Berries, to capture Zapdos. Once captured, you can make your way out of the Power Plant by stepping onto the teleport pad to Zapdos' left - your job here is done.

Now that you have Zapdos, it's time to keep the legendary catching spree going! Here's how to get your hands on Mewtwo, the undisputed King of Pokemon: Let's Go!
