As long as there have been Pokemon games, there's been two versions to debate over. The latest Pokemon games, Pokemon: Let's Go! Pikachu & Eevee, reintroduce the turf warfare that have captured Poke-fans for over two decades. While the gameplay, graphics, music, and pretty much everything important is exactly the same, there are differences between the Pokemon that are found within the two games. These "exclusives" can only be found in their respective titles and must be traded to the other game in order to complete the Pokedex. Here are the Pokemon that are exclusive to each type:
Pokemon Exclusive to Let's Go: Eevee | Pokemon Exclusive to Let's Go: Pikachu |
Ekans |
Sandshrew |
Arbok | Sandslash |
Vulpix | Mankey |
Ninetales | Primeape |
Meowth | Growlithe |
Koffing | Oddish |
Weezing | Gloom |
Pinsir | Vileplume |
Bellsprout | Grimer |
Weepinbell | Muk |
Victreebell | Scyther |
None of these Pokemon are really that powerful within the game, so it's mostly up to which ones you like better. Of course, you can also get both Pikachu and Eevee in both versions of the game, so you won’t have any issues getting your hands on these two iconic Pokémon. However, you won't be able to evolve your starters, instead getting some special moves based on their evolutions or alternate forms.
Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu Special Moves
Pikachu can learn a total of three exclusive moves from the tutor in the various Pokemon Centers around Kanto.
- Splishy Splash (Water)
- Floaty Fall (Flying)
- Zippy Zap (Electric)
Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee Special Moves
Unlike the Pikachu version of the game, player who pick up the Eevee version will have a few more moves to unlock thanks to Eevee’s various evolutions.
- Bouncy Bubble (Water)
- Sparkly Swirl (Fairy)
- Buzzy Buzz (Electric)
- Sappy Seed (Grass)
- Glitzy Glow (Psychic)
- Baddy Bad (Dark)
- Sizzly Slide (Fire)
- Freezy Frost (Ice)
Baddy Bad sounds like a mid-90s R&B group, doesn't it? Anyway, that's all she wrote on the differences. The most important thing is to pick whichever version has your favorite mascot on the front - the Pokemon inside don't really change that much. Now that you've chosen your version, it's time to get started! Here's how to give your beloved new Pikachu or Eevee their very own nickname!
