Hilarious Red Dead Online Player Kidnapping Goes Wrong

While playing the Red Dead Online beta yesterday, dasMEHDI and TheClassyPax attempted to hogtie and kidnap another player, but it went oh so wrong.

The Red Dead Online beta kicked off earlier this week, opening up to Ultimate Edition owners followed by players who jumped into the single player on the first day of release. It’s still very much a beta - Rockstar have confirmed as much by saying that progress could be reset before the full launch - but that hasn’t stopped players from getting started with some roleplay.

One Twitch streamer called dasMEHDI was playing Red Dead Online with his friend, TheClassyPax as part of a gang called the “Gummer Boys”. Ironically, they have a strong teeth theme going on, as his character is called Cole Gate and his horse is named Sensodyne.

While hanging out in Valentine, they stumbled upon another player called CHEWIE_600. TheClassyPax started tying him up while dasMEHDI aimed his repeater at him to stop any funny business from happening. dasMEHDI jumped on his horse as TheClassyPax carried their victim away. dasMEHDI suggests that they “throw him in the river”, which his friend was in favour of, saying “I agree, I agree.” CHEWIE_600 had other ideas though.

He somehow managed to escape his binds and pushed TheClassyPax to the floor before kicking him. Rather than taking any shots, dasMEHDI decided the best cause of action was to lasso his friend then drag him along the floor to escape their adversary, since they clearly underestimated him. A great plan, in theory.

Unfortunately for them, dasMEHDI rode straight into the side of a building and went careering off the other end of his horse. The clip ends as they burst into fits of laughter. Did CHEWIE_600 catch up with them and lay down the law, ending The Gummer Boys short-lived reign of terror? We’ll never know, but it’s undoubtedly the funniest Red Dead Online clip we’ve seen so far. In other Red Dead Redemption 2 news, check out this end-game easter egg that hints at an Undead Nightmare 2 expansion.
