While many video game players have come to know Epic Games thanks to the massive rise in popularity of Fortnite, Epic Games has been a major developer in the gaming industry for years with one of their most popular titles being the mobile fighting game of Infinity Blade. Developer in partnership with Chair Entertainment back in 2010, Infinity Blade was the first IOS game to run on the Unreal Engine. Now, a popular weapon from the mobile title has a made a return in the spotlight thanks to the appearance of the Infinity Blade sword in Season 7 of Fortnite. 

Infinity Blade Fortnite Season 7 

Members of the Fortnite community who are familiar with the involvement of Epic Games were quick to spot that the new buff Santa Clause skin of Sgt. Winter was wielding the sword from the mobile title of Epic Games' past when he makes his first appearance in the official Season 7 launch trailer for Fortnite. Using the Infinity Blade to direct his troops, SGT. Winter directs his troops to attack the group of Christmas skin characters. 

The cameo of the sword in the launch trailer for Season 7 of Battle Royale has been seen as a very unique and entertaining Easter Egg with players excited to see Epic Games bring a fan favorite item from one of their past games into their hit battle royale title.

At the time of this writing, it is believed that the Infinity Blade sword is the harvesting tool Fortnite players can unlock by gaining a certain amount of experience with the Ice King tier 100 skin unlocked in your Battle Pass in Season 7. The item is wielded by the new Battle Pass Tier 100 skin in the game's new loading screen, so it looks as though Epic Games wants the Infinity Blade to be well represented in Fortnite in Season 7 and looks to be the main tool of the Ice King skin.
