The_Happy_Hob was nominated for the Gaming Moment of the Year award at the CBS 2018 Gamers Choice Awards, but it was given to Ninja & Drake playing Fortnite together. He wasn't happy.

It goes without saying that Tyler “Ninja” Blevins and Drake playing Fortnite together earlier this year was an incredible moment. It didn’t really take much skill though; it was awesome to see, but it wasn’t exactly impressive. The_Happy_Hob is a Dark Souls streamer who, earlier this year, managed to beat all three Dark Souls games without being hit once. If you’re familiar with Dark Souls, you’ll know this is an absolutely incredible feat and one that should definitely be recognised. Check out the clip below for when The_Happy_Hob realised he hadn’t won, and had instead lost to Ninja and Drake.

“Ninja and Drake for favourite gaming moment of the year!” he exclaimed live on stream before chuckling to himself. “That’s fine, that’s okay, that’s okay,” he muttered to himself before standing up and throwing objects on the floor in a fit of rage. He then punched his webcam so it fell over on his desk, before picking up and screaming “Where’s my award CBS?! Huh? Where’s my f***ing award?! Gaming Moment of the Year? Drake?! Who’s Drake? Who’s Drake?! Huh?! F***ing hell… Do you know what I’ve been through? Huh? I needed this!”

Of course, it goes without saying that the clip was largely satirical and we don’t think The_Happy_Hob was really this infuriated with the CBS Gamers Choice Awards, but it must be hard to see all your hard work be beaten out by a celebrity just playing a video game. Being nominated for the award is undoubtedly more recognition than The_Happy_Hob expected to get when he set out on his untouchable Dark Souls journey, but nevertheless; being so close to the award yet so far is tough to swallow. In celebration of The_Happy_Hob’s achievement, why not check out the moment he beat all three games without being hit below.

In other gaming news, there’s a very elaborate easter egg in CS:GO’s new battle royale mode taken from Portal.
