IX characters are now in Blackout and we've got all of the IX character missions, along with how to unlock the IX characters in Blackout on Black Ops 4.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 launched two months ago today, and there’s been a steady stream of updates and patches from Treyarch & Activision. Blackout is the new battle royale mode that has seen some immense success, taking traffic away from games like PUBG and Fortnite. Also included in the game is the famous Zombies mode, including the brand new map, IX (Nine). The IX characters have been added to the battle royale mode, so if you’re wondering how to unlock IX characters in Blackout, then look no further.

There’s four IX characters in total, and all of them are now in Blackout with unique IX character missions. Here’s the full list of IX characters in Blackout and how to unlock them.

How to unlock Bruno in Blackout - Bruno Character Missions

Blackout Bruno

Bruno is the hardest of the four IX characters to unlock in Blackout, so make sure you keep persevering and don't give up. First, you need to head to the mystery box and kill all the zombies, then find the Lion Pauldron from inside the box. There's no guarantee it will spawn though so if it's not there, tough luck.

With the Lion Pauldron in your inventory, you need to down an enemy with the Combat Axe, then clean them up. The Combat Axe is difficult to even get on target, let alone kill someone with, so we'd recommend rocking Skulker and Dead Silence to try sneaking up on a player who hasn't noticed you. Make sure you finish them off right away too, because if they get revived then it won't count.

How to unlock Diego in Blackout - Diego Character Missions

Blackout DIego

To unlock Diego in Blackout on Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, you first need to find the Mayan Crest item. You can find this inside equipment stashes. From there, you need to either kill or clean up an enemy with a Bowie Knife, then finish the match with the Mayan Crest still in your inventory.

It sounds easy but getting a melee kill in Blackout can be tricky. We’d recommend sticking to corners of buildings and hiding behind doors to stab players in the back. It’s cheesy and you’ll no doubt feel guilty doing it, but it gets the job done!

How to unlock Scarlett in Blackout - Scarlett Character Missions

Blackout Scarlett

If Scarlett is the character you want to unlock in Blackout, you need to get yourself the Steel Bracer. This is found by killing and looting zombies near the mystery box. After that, hunt down and loot a supply drop, then finish the game with the Steel Bracer in your inventory.

If you don’t know where to find zombies, just look for the blue beam of light shooting up to the sky. This is where the mystery box spawns and you’re guaranteed to find zombies nearby. Then to get a supply drop, listen out for the sound of the plane coming in and look to the sky to spot the supply drop get released.

How to unlock Shaw in Blackout - Shaw Character Missions

Blackout Shaw

Finally, to unlock Shaw in Blackout you need to get the Ritual Bowl. Like Scarlett, you can get it by killing zombies near the mystery box. After that, use five perks during the game and make sure you place Top 7 in Squads, Top 15 in Duos or Top 30 in Solos.

This is probably the easiest to do, as long as you can find the Ritual Bowl. Placing Top 30 in a solo game isn’t difficult as long as you find a solid building near the middle of the safe zone. You’ll find five perks pretty easily too, just loot until you’ve found and used five.

Have you unlocked Zero yet as part of Operation Absolute Zero?
