A new bug has been discovered by Liquid Chap, that allows players to easily fly planes underneath the Fortnite map.

In previous seasons of Fortnite, Epic Games disabled vehicles like the Shopping Cart and the ATK because players discovered ways they could be used to glitch underneath the map. It looks like they may need to disable the Stormwing X-4 planes soon too, because Ryan “Chap” Chaplo, pro player for Team Liquid, has discovered a way to fly them underneath the Fortnite Season 7 map.

In a video posted to his Twitter, Chap shows how you can get the plane lodged in the underground section at one of the southern Wailing Woods bunkers. If you break the panelling above the underground rift and let the plane fall in, then jump into the cockpit, you’ll be pushed through the terrain and underneath the map, where you can fly around to your heart’s content.

“I’m under the map, I’m under the map!” Chap repeats in his duos game with Thomas “72hrs” Mulligan, another pro player for Team Liquid. “I’m flying under the map, oh my god Tom!”. Chap then notices it actually teleported him from Wailing Woods to Salty Springs, which is halfway across the map from where he initially glitched. 72hrs then recommends that he try to resurface, otherwise Epic Games will hit him with a ban, which is when the video ends.

Is anyone really surprised? As soon as the Stormwing X-4 planes were announced at the start of Fortnite Season 7, jokes and memes were made constantly about how the planes would be disabled before long due to an exploit. We’re almost two full weeks into the season and it’s finally looking like it’ll happen, unless Epic manages to deploy a hotfix that doesn’t require disabling the planes.

There’s no official word from Epic yet though and Chap’s tweet is almost 12 hours old, so time will tell how they’re going to fix it. In other Fortnite news, Turner “Tfue” Tenney and Kristen “KittyPlays” Michaela won the Fortnite Korea Open over the weekend.
