Ninja is hosting a New Year's Eve stream live from Times Square, New York. We've got all the details on when it's happening and how to watch it.

It goes without saying that Tyler “Ninja” Blevins is one of the biggest people this year. Not literally of course, but the ex-Halo pro has made a full time career out of playing Fortnite and has had an absolutely gargantuan 2018. From playing live on stream with Drake, to appearing on television with both Ellen DeGeneres and Jimmy Fallon - on separate occasions. Did we also mention he featured on the front cover of TIME magazine? Due to all of this, Ninja is hosting the HUGE New Year’s Eve party in Times Square, New York, and it’s also being live streamed. Here is how you can watch Ninja’s New Year’s stream from Times Square.

What time does Ninja’s New Year’s stream start?

Ninja New Years Eve Stream
Ninja will be streaming live from Times Square, New York during New Year's Eve 2018.

It goes without saying that the stream is taking place on New Year’s Eve - December 31, 2018. New York is in Eastern Standard Time, which means it’s only going to hit midnight once over there, which is why the stream is actually starting at 4pm ET. This is 1pm PT, 9pm GMT, 10pm CEST, and 7am AEST.

Of course, this means any Australians watching will already have seen out the new year hours before, so it’s not friendly for anyone east of Moscow since midnight will have passed. For the rest of the world though, the stream is going to last for 12 straight hours until 4am ET, so all of the western time zones will be able to see in the new year with Ninja.

Ninja’s a full time gamer, so his New Year’s stream is going to revolve around games. He’ll be hauling his complete PC set up to Times Square, so he’ll be able to stream any game he wants. He’s known for playing Fortnite and there will likely be something happening in-game to celebrate the new year, so expect a lot of that on stream.

Throughout 2018, he’s also played a number of other games. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s Blackout battle royale mode is a favorite of his so we may see that, along with potentially some PUBG. He used to compete in professional Halo, so maybe we’ll see him pick up an Xbox One controller and tackle some of that too. There’s no guarantee other than Fortnite though, so at least we’re sure on that.

The other thing confirmed for the Ninja NYE stream is “special guests.” Who will be making an appearance? The lineup hasn’t been revealed yet, but Ninja is known to stream with fellow Fortnite content creators Courage, Dr Lupo, TimTheTatMan, SypherPK, IBasicallyDoWrk, and more. Expect some of those guys to make an appearance, along with his wife, Jessica “JGhosty” Blevins. Other famous people like DJs Marshmello and Dillon Francis may appear, along with football players like JuJu Smith-Schuster. Maybe Ninja has plans to link up with Drake again too?

As expected, the main way to watch the Ninja New Year’s stream is through Ninja’s Twitch channel at Twitch.tv/Ninja. He’s partnered with Red Bull so there may be some official stream from them, and there’s no word yet on whether the stream will be broadcast live on TV or not. Since it’s from Times Square though, we’re expecting it to be shown on live TV around the world.

With less than a week to go until Christmas, Ninja’s New Year’s Eve stream is going to be the perfect way to see in the new year if you’re a huge Fortnite fan. Make sure you check out his official Team Ninja page about the stream for any more and updated information, and also take a look at his appearance on Jimmy Fallon last week.
