The Dr DisRespect Code Red Fortnite Tournament scheduled for Thursday, January 17th has been postponed, according to tournament organizer BoomTV.

The Code Red tournament series organized by popular Twitch streamer Guy "Dr DisRespect" Beahm and competitive gaming platform BoomTV has become one of the most popular grass roots competitive battle royale events. Having organized tournaments for the likes of Player Unknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG), Fortnite Battle Royale and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout, the Dr DisRespect Code Red Tournament has been a major playing in the world of competitive battle royale.

Unfortunately, the Dr DisRespect and BoomTV Code Red Fortnite Tournament that was scheduled to take place on Thursday, January 17th will now not be taking place.

Code Red Fortnite Tournament Postponed

Taking to its official Twitter account on Wednesday, January 16th, BoomTV announced that its event for January 17th had been postponed. While no specific information regarding the reasoning behind why the event was postponed was made available by BoomTV, a non disclosure agreement of NDA was referenced in its announcement post for the postponing of the Dr DisRespect Fortnite competition for Thursday.

Fans of competitive Fortnite and the Dr DisRespect Code Red tournament series will likely be disappointed at the fact that they will not be able to see a bracket containing some of the most popular and talented players in the community for the battle royale title compete for a share of the $10,000 prize pool.

Well known Twitch streamer Ben "DrLupo" Lupo was saddened by the fact that the event had been canceled when he had to inform his fellow streamer and friend Tyler "Ninja" Belvins of the news.

Neither BoomTV or Dr DisRespect have not yet announced a return date for the Code Red tournament series or if today's Fortnite event will be rescheduled to a later date. However, it is likely that it will be returning in full force in the very near future.
