Today's Mortal Kombat 11 fan event gave us, among other things, a brand new trailer along with some other morsels for fans chomping at the bit for more about the popular and brutal fighting game series. The trailer is a nice mix of story mode scenes, and in-game combat revealing some new characters including Baraka, Sub Zero, and Skarlet. The first details of the Mortal Kombat 11 Kollectors or Collectors Edition were also revealed to fans.
Mortal Kombat 11 Collectors and Premium Edition Details
Two other editions of the game will be releasing on April 23 - the Premium and aptly named Kollectors Edition or Collectors for you grammatically correct folk. The Premium Edition will cost $99.99 USD and contains the Kombat Pack, which consists of the following according to the game's Steam page:
- Six new DLC playable characters
- Seven skins
- Seven sets of gear
- One week early access to DLC characters
It's currently unknown exactly what characters and skins will make up the Kombat Pack, but rest assured that you'll be able to play whatever they throw at you a week early. Expect a nice mix of new, returning, and guest characters as we have in the past. If you want to buy the Kombat Pack standalone, it will run you $29.99. However, more die hard fans will be able to get much more if they go the route of the Kollectors version.
According to Gamestop.com, The Kollectors Edition package retails for $299.99 and comes with the Premium Edition of the game along with a steel case, a collectors box, and 1:1 replica of Scorpion's mask. Unfortunately, you cannot actually wear the Collectors Edition mask, meaning you'll have to settle for that yellow knockoff Party City mask you wore when you were 10 years old instead of the new Kollectors one.
