The powerful pink army is expanding into the Counter-Strike scene with a new roster.

The Unicorns of Love have ventured out of the League of Legends scene, signing a German roster for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. The first CS: GO team to compete under the UoL colors is comprised of Oliver “kzy” Heck, Markus “maRky” Reitenbach, Andre “Kirby” Kempa, Christian “crisby” Schmitt, and Denim “DeniMM” Ameti.

The organization made the announcement earlier today on Twitter, showing the team walking through the woods in their new jerseys, carrying some very interesting UoL merchandise. The core of the roster, Crisby, kzy, and maRky, previously played together for German org EURONICS for the past few years. They’re now joined by DeniMM and Kirby, two up can coming players who’ve competed for DIVIZON and Playing Ducks.

“After five successful years in League of Legends, we are no longer part of the EU LCS,” UoL GM Vivien Mallant said in a statement to HLTV. “This allows us to invest into new titles next to our LoL-team in the German scene. Counter-Strike has been one of the biggest esport titles in the past and now the timing is perfect for us to expand our brand into this community. We hope we can bring a lot of fun, pink and partners into the scene but of course success will be the main priority for us. We are looking forward to our journey in CS:GO.”

The roster will be competing in Season 30 of ESEA Premier, the division just below the ESL Pro League, thanks to the previous efforts of the EURONICS trio. Hopefully the team will do well and advance to the big league, where they can spread the love to a whole new competition.
