It looks like the cat is out of the bag on Respawn Entertainment’s new project. After a couple weeks of teasing what was rumored to be a free-to-play Titanfall Battle Royale game, we now know at the very least that the game will be called Apex Legends. What’s more, Respawn CEO Vince Zampella confirmed that we can expect to see the full details of the game on stream shortly. We have the details on when and where to watch.

Zampella made his official announcement from his personal Twitter late on February 3, 2019. Though rumblings had been going on from influencers prior to Zampella’s tweet, he confirmed the game would be called Apex Legends. Moreover, he revealed that at 8AM PST/11AM EST on Monday, February 4, the game would be revealed on its new official Twitch channel. Apex Legends doesn’t exactly discount that the game could be in the Titanfall universe, but it is noteworthy that it doesn’t include the franchise name at all. It could be that we’re about to see something altogether fresh from Respawn. It’s also worth noting that influencers apparently received early details this weekend. Folks like Rod “Slasher” Breslau have been watching and sharing details as they came out on the game via various sources.

It may very well be (and is likely by Vince Zampella’s tone in his stream tweet) that more than a few folks shared details before they were supposed to, necessitating his response. Some images have made their rounds on Reddit showing little details and glimpses of the game. Either way, we now know exactly when Apex Legends is going to be revealed and can look forward to a wealth of details when the stream launches on Monday. Be sure to tune in and watch!
