Blizzard is hosting the Warcraft III Invitational today and tomorrow! Here's where to catch the action as some of the best Warcraft players in the world throw down in some intense competitive action.

Recently, Blizzard announced a new patch for their classic real-time strategy game, Warcraft III, alongside the announcement of a new and exciting event called the Warcraft III Invitational. Top-tier Warcraft III players will be arriving at the Blizzard HQ to put on a clinic of play, showcasing their skills and the new features of the latest patch over the course of Tuesday February 27 and Wednesday February 28. The action takes place from 2PM to 6PM PST on Tuesday and will continue on Wednesday from 1PM to 6PM PST. You can catch all of the action in the embedded channel below or head straight over to the Back2Warcraft channel over at Twitch.

Fan beloved casters Jannes "Neo" Tjarks and Remo "remodemo" Rimmel will be hosting the Invitational – An opportunity Tjarks was delighted to talk about in a recent interview, given his constant efforts for the Warcraft III scene. The Warcraft III Invitational invites notable names from across the world to join in 4vs4, 2vs2, head-to-head, free-for-all, and more competitive matches with varied race mains across all players that are sure to showcase the fullest extent of what Blizzard’s new patch for the game has to offer. It marks one of the most notable Blizzard-sponsored events centered around Warcraft III for some time and many speculate that it could mean Blizzard is testing the waters for a greater return to real-time strategy Warcraft. Regardless, for fans of the series, it will be a fantastic return to the game, featuring not just great play, but a host of quality of life updates for the game, including widescreen support for Windows and Mac, new online player support for 24-player lobbies, and a great deal of game balance and new map pools to round out online and offline skirmishes. The full list of patch notes can be found in the Blizzard forums.

As you wait for the Warcraft III Invitational, you can also check out other strategy competitive action from Blizzard as pros head to Poland to compete in StarCraft II and Heroes of the Storm.
