Popular Twitch streamer and former professional Counter-Strike player shroud recently explained how he helped Respawn Entertainment develop the Apex Legends weapon recoil system.

Michael "shroud" Grzesiek knows his way around the world of first person shooter video games, as the former professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) player turned popular battle royale Twitch streamer has put in countless hours dazzling viewers with his highly impressive FPS skills. This expertise in the popular video game genre led shroud to being one of the Twitch influencers that Respawn Entertainment has recruited to test out and promote its new battle royale title of Apex Legends.

However, during a recent Twitch stream, shroud revealed that he also played a major role in helping to develop the weapon recoil system in Apex Legends

Explaining how the recoil system for the weapons in Apex Legends being randomized at the beginning of development, which means that every burst of fully automatic fire would be completely unpredictable, shroud explained how he suggested that Respawn Entertainment should use a weapon recoil system in Apex Legends that was similar to the one used in CS:GO

"Their recoil on their weapons was kinda randomized, and I told them. I was like 'You know what would be really cool in this game and you guys should try? Having pre-set recoil on every single weapon like in Counter-Strike," said shroud. "You know when you hold mouse one, and it follows the exact same pattern every single time? I was like 'You should just try it and see how it feels'. They ended up going with that idea, and that's how the recoil is in this game now. It's f**king great."

With the weapon recoil system in Apex Legends having pre-determined recoil patterns every time a weapon is fired thanks to Twitch streamer shroud, players have the ability to master the recoil pattern of every weapon and be an expert shot when it comes to fighting an enemy instead of having to deal with random recoil that could led to inaccuracy every time they fire a weapon.
