After weeks of rumors and speculation, a new Nintendo Direct presentation has finally been announced for February 13 and the gaming community is all a-flutter with speculation.
Nintendo of America’s official Twitter account made the announcement Tuesday morning, revealing that the next Direct will take place on Wednesday, February 13th at 5PM Eastern, 2PM Pacific. The official tweet is below:
Tune in 2/13 at 2pm PT for a Nintendo Direct featuring around 35 minutes of information on upcoming #NintendoSwitch titles, including new details on #FireEmblem Three Houses!https://t.co/d1Xx3bUMG0 pic.twitter.com/dExyWiigBr

This new Direct is a long time coming, as it’s the first non-game specific presentation since September. Outside of the specifically named Fire Emblem: Three Houses, nothing else is known about what these 35 minutes will bring outside of rumors and speculation. That hasn’t stopped the greater gaming community from reacting, and of course predicting, what is in store in the Direct.

A few are sticking up for the 3DS, which wasn’t mentioned to be a part of the presentation this time:
So y'all just gonna forget about us loyal 3DS fans??

Let’s not forget the realists, who just want people to Nintendo Direct responsibly:
I'm excited but y'all gotta make sure to hype responsibly or else you're gonna end up disappointed like last time

Predictions for what’s coming have been rampant, from Animal Crossing to Super Mario Maker, from Bayonetta 3 to this interesting F-Zero concept:
FZero Royale Racing: 99 racers, the Last one wins, track gets smaller and trickier by the time, lots of hazards

Even yours truly got in on the fun with a Super Smash Bros Ultimate related idea:
Would really like some Joker #SmashBros info from #NintendoDirect, maybe a release date?
— Jason Fanelli (@BigManFanelli) February 12, 2019
Figure five DLC in the pack, all five due by Feb 2020 per Nintendo, so if we time that out evenly we’re looking at:
Feb 2019
May 2019
Aug 2019
Nov 2019
Feb 2020
He has to be close, right?
A new Nintendo Direct announcement always brings some furious fervor, and this one looks to be no exception. We’ll see what happens when these predictions turn into reactions tomorrow at 5PM Eastern.
