Big moves were made by Echo Fox, who confirmed that worldwide top-tier Street Fighter V player Du "NuckleDu" Dang would be coming to the Fox Fam.

It’s been an interesting time for Echo Fox’s FGC pursuits, and it only proceeds to get more interesting. The organization has confirmed that Street Fighter V pro Du “NuckleDu” Dang will be joining the Echo Fox FGC roster. The player that took the 2016 Capcom Cup without dropping a single set will be looking for another championship in 2019 under the Echo Fox banner.

The news was announced on February 13, 2019 via the Echo Fox website and Twitter. NuckleDu comes in as Echo Fox’s sole Street Fighter V representative on the FGC roster following the release of fellow star players Justin Wong and 2018 Capcom Cup winner Hajime “Tokido” Taniguchi. NuckleDu joins the current Echo Fox FGC roster of Dominique “SonicFox” McLean (Dragon Ball FighterZ, Mortal Kombat, Injustice) Jon "dekillsage" Coello (Dragon Ball FighterZ), Jason "Mew2King" Zimmerman (Smash Bros), and Leonardo "MKLeo" Perez (Smash Bros).

Echo Fox President Jared Jeffries was thrilled to announce a player of NuckleDu’s caliber joining the Echo Fox fold.

“NuckleDu is a young player who has proven himself to be one of the best in the world,” said Jeffries. “His dedication to improvement, his sense of dramatic flair, and his desire to compete at the highest level make him a perfect fit for Echo Fox.”

Indeed, even outside of his incredible 2016 Capcom Cup win, NuckleDu has been an almost permanent figure on Top 10 worldwide standings for Street Fighter. He landed at #3 behind Victor “Punk” Woodley in 2017 and, despite a bit of a rough patch in 2018, NuckleDu still made it into a #9 spot to close out the 2018 Capcom Pro Tour season. He’s proved time and time again that he belongs in talks about the best of the best in Street Fighter V.

Will NuckleDu take Echo Fox to greater heights in the 2019 Street Fighter V scene? It remains to be seen, but congrats are in order regardless as we await a fresh year of Capcom Pro Tour competition.
