It’s been a hard journey for Rogue in the LEC. One of the new expansion teams to join with the introduction of franchising, Rogue has found the going quite rough when it comes to the actual games played. That seems to have reached a turning point for now at least, with the team finding their first win of the LEC Spring Split after taking down Misfits Gaming. Here’s a brief breakdown of the match.
Both teams seemed to keep pace with each other through the early game, with Rogue finding a very small gold lead through claiming first blood and picking up the first Dragon of the match, however Misfits were able to keep pace with the first Tower and second Dragon of the game. Both teams continued to trade objectives and kills for some time, before Rogue eventually launched their attack and secured the Baron buff.
With the added strength of Baron empowered minions, Rogue were able to advance on the base of Misfits and begin breaking down the defenses, to which Misfits seemed to have little to no answer for at the time. With time running out for a comeback, Misfits were forced to concede defeat in this particular clash, with Rogue ultimately standing tall with their first win of the LEC now in hand.
