Strongholds are without a doubt the best part of Anthem, EA's new Action RPG. Here's how to get through the game's lower levels quickly and get to the end game content you crave!

Levelling in Anthem helps you gain access to all the cool stuff - move Javelins, crafting, Strongholds, and overall just being more of a bad-ass. With that in mind, you’ll probably want to figure out how to hit the level cap quickly so you can access all that cool stuff, right? No worries - here are the quickest ways to get yourself to max level and get to the endgame content!

How to Level Quickly in Anthem

Play the Story

Yes, we know, you wanted to avoid doing this, but the main story is the absolute quickest way to gain experience. The story itself is pretty cool, though, and you’ll receive new gear and no doubt run into some other unlockables along the way. If you’re really not interested in the story, you could always skip the cutscenes…

Complete Contracts

Contracts offer players an opportunity to get gear and experience doing one-shot missions for the citizens of Fort Tarsis. You can either speak to people around town for info on Contracts, or you can check the bulletin board near Yarrow for more. Contracts are nice because they can be done at your own pace, allowing you to bounce around doing different things as you complete them. Check them out when you have the chance!

Head into Freeplay

Freeplay is pretty much a free roam mode, where you can interact with playable areas on your own terms. Think of this just like Destiny’s free roam mode while not in a mission. As time goes on, you’ll also be able to complete a series of different events, all while playing alongside others in the world. It’s a great way to get experience and items without having to worry about cutscenes, story dialogue and the other drags that can get in your way while levelling (like loading screens.)

Before you venture off and start levelling your character, it might be a good idea to make sure you look good while doing it. Here’s how to change your Javelin’s appearance and fly around in style.
