Twitch streamer and YouTuber Imane "Pokimane"
In response to the video at the center of the latest controversy that has involved Pokimane, the popular Twitch personality stated that it is hard for her to speak on the context regarding the footage in question.
This time Pokimane definitely dropped the N word right? (i know the clip is old) pic.twitter.com/xekNWfNPoG

"Hard for me to speak on this clip's context because it's so old (I'm almost 23 and was underage in that clip), but it was definitely not said in a racist or derogatory manner. it was a time period/environment where saying it was more common and used as a replacement for 'dude'," said Pokimane.
"It's been many years and I don't ever say it now because I realize it's distasteful and looks bad," Pokimane continued. "And I've never said it in a racist way / hard r either (just in a cringey way, unfortunately)."

This statement by Pokimane comes after the Twitch streamer had given another response to a separate video posted by YouTuber Daniel "KEEMSTAR" Keem that contained footage from
"I said 'this
i said "this anivia" (shounded like "this nivia"), aka a champion in league of legends. smh when u found out keem is a fake gamer ?

on the real, stop baiting likes by spreading lies.
Pokimane is no stranger to addressing controversy brought against her, as she had previously produced a YouTube video responding to allegations from YouTuber Felix "PewDiePie" Kjellberg that she had been abusing the copyright strike feature on the popular video sharing platform.
