Chiquita Evans is First Woman to be Drafted to NBA 2K League

The 2019 NBA 2K League Draft results saw Chiquita Evans be drafted by the Warriors Gaming franchise.

It was a historic day for the NBA's official esports league in the NBA 2K League on Tuesday, March 5th, as the 2019 NBA 2K League took place that saw each of the 21 teams complete their rosters for the upcoming seasons. However, the highlight moment of the 2019 NBA 2K League Draft results belonged to draftee Chiquita Evans when Warriors Gaming, the esports league's affiliate of the Golden State Warriors, selected Chiquita "Chiquitae126" Evans with the 56th pick in the 2019 draft. This selection made history, as it marked the first time that a female player had been selected to compete in the NBA's esports league.

Chiquita Evans had cemented herself on the competitive landscape for the popular sports video game franchise with an impressive combine performance and a leading 33-point performance at the esports league's official Showcase earlier this year which had Chiquita Evans as a leading candidate to be selected when the NBA 2K 2019 Draft results were finalized on Tuesday, March 5th. 

"We gotta make a name for ourselves. We're out here, a lot of us. We're really just trying to get the respect we deserve, and we're coming for 2K19," said Chiquita Evans eight months earlier at the esports league's Showcase. 

Now, the newly minted Warriors Gaming player will be joining fellow Warriors Gaming draftees in Samuel "Gradient" Salyers, Charles "Kina" Bostwick, and Jin "Jin" Choe in showing that their team will have won the final say in having the best NBA 2K League 2019 Draft results when the second official season kicks off on April 2nd. They will all be joining the likes of Xavier "Type" Vescovi and Alexander "Bsmoove" Reese in rounding our the complete roster for Warriors Gaming this season.
