Each season, Guardians have a new Pinnacle weapon to work towards in their favorite game mode - whether that's Crucible, Gambit, or Strikes. We've already touched on the Vanguard weapon of choice, so it's time to step into the Crucible and bring home The Recluse!
The Recluse Perks
The Recluse is a killing machine and is equipped with perks that reflect such a moniker. It comes with Lightweight Frame, Polygonal Rifling (Increased Stability), Richochet Rounds (Increased Stability & Range, as well as...richocheting bullets), Feeding Frenzy, and a new-ish trait called Master of Arms. Master of Arms gives The Recluse improved weapon damage for a short time when the Guardian gets kills with any weapon. Yeah, this thing is worth the grind.
Getting the Recluse
The Recluse's "quest," so to speak, is called From the Mouths of Babes, which tasks you with completing the "The Stuff of Myth" Triumph. Now, how do you complete "The Stuff of Myth?" Simple: raise your rank in Crucible to "Fabled" If you're not aware of how Crucible ranks are...well...ranked, here's the order:
- Guardian
- Brave
- Heroic
- Fabled
- Mythic
- Legend
So, you're going to have to get to "Fabled" which is the fourth step up from the beginning. Not awful, but not exactly easy. Your best bet is to dedicate a day or so to grinding Crucible game modes, preferrably Competitive matches and Iron Banner. You'll want to bring a fireteam into Competitive and slay some Guardians to preserve your rankings. f Iron Banner is active, then that will obviously be the better choice to grind wins.
