OpTic Gaming Call of Duty professional player Scump took to Twitter to give his thoughts on Excelerate Gaming dropping its Call of Duty World League (CWL) Pro League roster.

The Call of Duty esports world was shocked on Wednesday, March 6th when Call of Duty World League (CWL) Pro League team Excelerate Gaming announced that it had dropped the roster that had secured the organization a spot in the prestigious CWL Pro League. With many professional players voicing their displeasure with the move, high-profile player Seth "Scump" Abner of OpTic Gaming was one of the recent members of the community to criticize Excelerate Gaming for the decision.

Taking to his Twitter account on Thursday, March 7th, Scump explained that "players need a better security blanket" and then went on to state that is was unfair of Excelerate Gaming to have dropped the roster of Christopher "ProFeezy" Astudillo, Austin "Believe" Smith, Mike _MRuiz" Ruiz, Michael "Beehzy" Said, and Robert "RobbieB3319" Brugnoli.

"Players need a better security blanket. What  did to their team and players is unfair. Imagine working years to achieve something to have it ripped from you for players with bigger names. Truly disturbing that you could do that to people that put you on the map," said Scump.

A whole host of other popular personalities in the Call of Duty community and fans voiced their agreement with the sentiment provided by Scump of OpTic Gaming and how they believed the roster decision by Excelerate Gaming was an unprofessional one.

The controversial decision by Excelerate Gaming is the latest of roster moves made by organizations in the CWL Pro League has sparked a passionate debate in the esports community for the first person shooter franchise regarding the current structure of the CWL Pro League that gives ownership of a Pro League spot to the organizations and not the players who earned the spots.
