Monday, March 11th saw Twitch star Michael "shroud" Grzesiek announce on his Twitter account that he had been in a scooter accident and had hurt left elbow. With shroud not having given much detail regarding the scooter accident that had caused his elbow injury that would require surgery, the Twitch streamer's good friend, roommate, and former professional Counter-Strike:Global Offensive player Just9n went into more detail on his own Twitch channel and explained that the situation was very serious and that shroud "could have easily just died".
What Happened to shroud? Scooter Accident Causes Elbow Injury and Surgery
While riding his motorized scooter, Just9n explained that shroud had hit the brakes of his scooter too hard which resulted in the accident occurring when shroud flew over his handlebars a large distance resulting in his major elbow injury.
"He hit the brakes too hard, and he flew over the handlebars about 10 to 12 feet, on to the asphalt. Now, being Mike, he's looking out for his right arm, he fell on his left arm - all of his weight. He got a bunch of 'road rash' from about his hip down to the middle of his thigh, it's all purple and blue, all f**ked up," said Just9n.
According to Just9n, shroud had put a very large hole in his elbow that tore a ligament and removed a piece of bone from his elbow. Just9n went on to explain that this means surgery is needed to reattach the bone to the elbow of the Twitch streamer in order to fix the injury.
While the injuries that shroud suffered from his scooter accident were of a very severe nature and will cause him to have to stay in the hospital for one to two nights for possible surgery, according to Just9n, the scooter accident could have been much worse than an elbow injury and surgery, as shroud was not wearing a helmet and could have possibly died from going too fast and flying over the handlebars of his scooter.
"This man could have easily just died, I don't know if you guys understand the severity of what I'm saying, but he could very literally just not be here with us right now, because of how serious this fall was," stated Just9n.
