Battle Royale maps are one of the most important parts of the experience and the Battlefield V: Firestorm map is 10-times the size of the current largest Battlefield map.

Right before the teams at EA Games and DICE fully revealed the expected battle royale mode in their latest game in the hit Battlefield franchise, they teased the map on social media. Inarguably, the map of any battle royale game is the most important character, and Battlefield is a competitive FPS game that is renowned for its map design and size.

Halvoy is How Big?!

Two of the biggest concerns heading into Battlefield V: Firestorm has been the map that the mode will take place on and the tanks/vehicles usage that Battlefield players are so used to. While the tanks and high-threat vehicles look like they might be set on some sort of Fallout 76 level of “there, but difficult to unlock”, the map is a beast and players couldn’t be happier.

Thanks to a pretty great thread on Twitter, the Battlefield V account unveiled Halvoy, the biggest map in Battlefield V by a long-shot. They continued, throughout the day, to post images of all the Battlefield V maps placed on top of the Halvoy map, and it truly put them all to shame.

“It’s 10 times larger than our current largest map,” said EA in their announcement.

Beyond just the maps in the current iteration of the game, Firestorm's Halvoy map is the biggest map in the entire Battlefield franchise thus far.

Whether or not the Battlefield V: Firestorm mode will catch fire or flicker out quickly has yet to be seen. At least, as of right now, there is little-to-no concern regarding what kind of arena the battle royale mode will take place in. Halvoy looks to exceed the expectations of their rabid fan-base.

With DICE not being known to release new updates on maps or new maps entirely, very quickly, it could be that Halvoy ends up being the one and only Firestorm map released by EA. Perhaps, if love for the mode ignites, and the fans show a burning desire for more, EA and DICE will work on more maps. There is a lot of promise in the addition of a battle royale mode in such a popular game with an eager fan-base. After being delayed, it's clear that EA Games and DICE both care very much about this new update.

Battlefield V: Firestorm is coming to players worldwide via a game update on March 25th. For a look at Firestorm gameplay, check out EA UK's live-stream from today.
