The Overwatch League roster of the Boston Uprising franchise received a major shakeup on April, 2nd that involved a total of three players.

Tuesday, April 2nd saw the Boston Uprising announce two roster moves to its Overwatch League roster ahead of the start of Stage 2 of the league's second season. These two roster moves saw the Boston Uprising add Support player Zion “Persia” Yang to its roster while also acquiring Flex player Richard “rCk” Kanerva from the Dallas Fuel in a trade that saw Lucas “NotE” Meissner make his way off of the Boston Uprising Overwatch League roster.

Persia makes his way onto the roster of Boston after playing in the Pacific Overwatch Contenders League where he was a member of Talon Esports team that secured a first-place finish in Season 2.

We are excited to welcome Yang "Persia" Zi-on to our team. We look forward to having him as a part of the Uprising and feel he will be a key member moving forward," said Chris "Huk" Loranger, President of Gaming for the Kraft Group.

Joining Persia as one of the newest members of the Overwatch League roster for the Boston Uprising, rCK will be filling the void left by the departure of NotE. Before competing for the Dallas Fuel, rCK had competed for Team Gigantti in the Overwatch Contenders League: Europe. NotE had been a member of the Boston Uprising roster since the franchise's debut in Season 1 of the Overwatch League.

"We are excited to welcome rCk to the Uprising,” Loranger said. “We look forward to having him as a part of the team moving forward and believe he will be a key contributor for us."
