LeStream Makes Waves in Week 11 Rainbow Six Pro League

Things at both the bottom and the top of the EU Rainbow6 Pro League standings aren't about to jump around, but plenty of exciting action happened in Week 11.

On Friday, April 7th, the European Rainbow Six Pro League played their Week 11. While the North American region heats up, it's the middle of the pack in a bubbling molten soup across the pond. Some things are pretty set in stone though, so the official standings in the EU aren't going to be shaken up a whole lot heading into the final stretch.

Mouz is on a downward trend and may wind up in relegations come the end of the season, and NaVi continues to not show any desire to remain in the R6 League. On the flip side, the top is a lock for Team Empire. Their guaranteed trip to the Playoffs may be a good excuse for them to let things slip in these final weeks. LeStream on the other hand is looking pretty scary.

Season IX has only a few more weeks of stage play before the best teams in all three regions meet in Milan to find out who will win the Rainbow Six Pro League Championship.

Here are our European Rainbow Six Pro League Power Rankings through week 11.

1st - They may be the current leaders in the standing, but that doesn’t mean they’ve proven to be infallible. Team Empire went into week 11 with a near flawless record of 9-0-1. Their match differential will be pretty hard to catch up to if you’re any other team, but they only sit 5 points above second place after dropping their first game to PENTA Sports. The loss is a bit concerning as we head closer to the end of the season.

2nd - Everything was looking pretty great for LeStream as they continued to cruise to the playoffs with a pretty great record. After beating Mouz on Friday, the Risze-led squad is one of the best teams in Rainbow Six right now. Through 11 matches, they sit 5 points behind Team Empire for first, and still look like their ticket to the playoffs is pre-purchased. LeStream is one victory away from guaranteeing their spot in the Milan R6 Season IX Playoffs.

3rd - It’s not the 4-4-3 record that they want, but it’s how and who they earned that record against that continue to make G2 Esports a confusing team to judge. They stick at 3rd in our power rankings, because they have the ability to absolutely crush low-tier teams while putting up a solid fight against the teams around them. In the coming weeks, G2 has a very good shot at making the playoffs. Especially if they continue to deny points from teams above them in the league standings.

4th - What can you really say about the team that pulls off the highest-profile of upsets, right when it matters most. Their fresh 3 points earned off the back of a great attack to take their game against Team Empire 7-5 may be great, but the fact that they kept Empire from earning a single point on the week means a ton. If PENTA aren’t getting a bunch of venmo money from everyone sitting below Empire on the standings, then something is up. With 9 points left to earn this season, 1st place is beyond their grasp, but if anyone can steal a 2nd or 3rd place, it’s the squad that handed Empire their first loss on the year.

5th - For the third week in a row, Chaos Esports Club went and blew things up to achieve another massive comeback victory. In those matches, they have dropped only a single attacking round in Pro League play. Rickard “Secretly” Oloffson said “we just let Kripps run in, and win” and they’re not wrong. The Swedes are impressive and scary heading into week 12.

6th - They currently sit in a relegation spot, at 7th place, but with a very well-fought win over the talented G2 team, they probably don’t deserve to be in the spot they’re in. Which is why they are above both NaVi and Mouz in our power ranks. Secret isn’t going to make a gun for the top of the standings, but they have a very good shot of keeping their slot in the EU R6 League.

7th - It looked for a second that they may give LeStream Esport a run for their money as they battled out in the Bank on Friday, but ultimately they fell. Mouz has a lot of potential, but it will have to wait until next season if they survive relegations. In Week 13 and 14, Mouz has the chance to not make ground on the standings, rather, take much-needed points from top-tier squads. We shall see where Mouz ends up come end of the season.

8th - Sitting at last place in the R6 EU League, Natus Vincere doesn't look like they're trying to claw their way back to relevance. They sit 2 points behind Team Secret (but their upward trend gives us hope), and 3 points behind Mousesports. NaVi holds the tie-breaker over Mouz if those two teams manage to wind up with the same amount of points come the final week of play, but the chances are high that NaVi will be fighting their way back to the R6 Pro League through the challenger league next season. Hopefully for Natus Vincere, they could at least cause a stink in the final weeks.

Match of the Day - PENTA Sports vs. Team Empire

There are three weeks left in the R6 Pro League and there are some things in the standings that could shift around by then. Team Empire is guaranteed a trip to Milan for the Season IX Playoffs, and it’s almost a bet that NaVi will catch an invite to contenders.

Week 12 of the R6 Pro League kicks off Monday, April 8th, with North America. Later in the week will be LATAM on Wednesday the 10th of April. The EU League will be back on Friday, April 12th at 3:00 PM Pacific Time.
