Over the weekend, BlindWarriorSven reached Super Diamond, one of the highest ranks possible, in Street Fighter 5. And yes, like his tag might suggest, he did this all while being totally blind.

One Street Fighter player has achieved what could possibly be one of the coolest and most inspiring stories you'll see all year. Many players deal with a number of challenges to overcome, but BlindWarriorSven plays the game without even seeing the screen. Even still, over the past weekend, Sven become the latest player to reach the rank of Super Diamond online, a feat that is difficult in and of itself - let alone for someone who can't actually see what's happening.

Hailing from the Netherlands, BlindWarriorSven is a Ken player in Street Fighter V who is completely blind. He plays by using audio cues and effective spacing to find his foe on screen. But don't misunderstand - Sven can play, and has plenty of frame traps and setups to prove he is a force to be reckoned with. The system he's developed where he doesn't even need to see the screen to lay down KO after KO makes his style all the more incredible. Sven reached this amazing milestone on April 7, after which he took to Twitter to let the world know of his incredible accomplishment. Fittingly enough, his Super Diamond promotion match came against a Ryu player. You can see the match below, as posted on his Twitter.

Obviously, Sven's next step will be Ultra Diamond, then all the way up to Master and above. He shows modesty in this exchange, but we're all on board for "BlindMasterSven":

You can see more action from Sven on his YouTube channel, where he uploads match replays that showcase his brilliant Ken play, and on Twitch, where he streams regularly. You can also follow him on Twitter for more awesome updates like these. Now if you'll excuse us, we are officially out of excuses for grinding Ranked mode. We'll see you on CFN!
