The recently implemented PlayStation Network (PSN) name change feature has been linked to causing major issues with a variety of PS4 titles.

After a very long wait, PlayStation players were finally granted the ability to change their Network name this week when Sony implemented a PSN name change feature for the popular video game platform. Unfortunately, PlayStation also revealed that players who use this new name change feature could possibly be hit with small or major issues regarding the performance of certain PS4 titles.

PSN Name Change Affecting PS4 Games

These issues cover a wide range of problems that PlayStation players could possibly face when playing a game after utilizing the PSN name change feature. From losing access to in-game currency and progress and being hit with game bugs to experiencing issues with PS4 trophies for the "critically affected" titles, there are various problems that Sony has made the public aware of when it comes to playing certain titles after changing their PSN name.

There is also a list of games that could be vulnerable to less severe issues as a result of the PSN name change. These issues have been identified as things like custom settings returning to the default ones, linked accounts becoming unlinked, and a player's old PlayStation Network name appearing on PS4 titles instead of their newer one.
