There's no denying it, the Los Angeles Gladiators are for real, and today their rookie DPS star Decay pulled off one of the greatest Pharmacy halting plays we've ever seen.

Live from the Blizzard Arena today, the Los Angeles Gladiators put another stamp in their passport to the Stage 2 playoffs in the Overwatch League, and they did it with a pretty stellar display against the ever-variable Chengdu Hunters.

Amongst the hustle and great play during their 3-1 victory over the Hunters, the Gladiators made some even more convincing moves towards cementing themselves as a top-team in the Overwatch League.

Currently, the home-town team sits pretty at the top of the standing with a surprising undefeated record of 6W - 0L.

The greatest move made on the mainstage today in their victory came from the LA Gladiators’ DPS super rookie Decay.

The Pharmacy team comp has recently seen a resurgence in the Overwatch League, mostly at the hands of these very Chengdu Hunters. The Pharah and Mercy combination is a terror in the skies. The rockets rain down from the skies, while the pocket healer keeps them coming by ensuring that the Pharah never falls.

Unfortunately for the Hunters’ Pharmacy, Gladiators’ rookie Decay had other plans.

Decay, however, had a difficult task ahead of them. How can a Sombra with an EMP ready-to-go get into the skies and bring down the flying duo of danger? Well, how about a recall translocator?

In this clip, you can watch as Decay throws Sombra’s translocator into the air, and as it reaches peak height he recalls to the translocator and pops his EMP ultimate to bring both Pharah and Mercy down from the skies.

Decay even managed to track Mercy all the way to the ground with his finger on the trigger the whole time. It was a brilliant move that quickly solved a difficult problem facing the Gladiators on defense.

The Los Angeles Gladiators have gone on a complete tear of the Overwatch League of late, and are building up a really strong trust with their fans. If they continue astounding play like this, the purple lions are going to have a whole lot of pride heading into the postseason.
