Mortal Kombat 11's first post-launch patch has a major target in its crosshairs: Some of the harder Towers of Time are being made easier.

By all accounts, Mortal Kombat 11 is a new benchmark for the series from top to bottom. The fighting is incredible, the visuals are graphic and intense, and the features are plenty. Unfortunately, one of the fastest tracks to farming gear and unlockables, the Towers of Time, has been a hugely unforgiving task in some regards. NetherRealm Studios knows it and they’re launching a patch that will ease the strain of the Towers of Time and adjust the rewards for completing such harsh challenges.

The new Towers of Time patch priorities have been in discussion for a few days before and after Mortal Kombat 11’s launch. NRS head Ed Boon has tweeted several times regarding the MK11 Towers, taking note of the community’s issues.

To help clarify what’s being fixed, NetherRealm hosted a new and quick Kombat Kast as well to address the issue and the fixes coming to the game for these matters. Not only does it seems that super hard towers are being softened a bit, but the economy of currency for unlocks in the Krypt is also being adjusted to give players a more satisfying bang for their buck.

There’s absolutely no doubt that if there’s been an issue with Mortal Kombat 11 at all, it’s the fact that some of the conditions to beat certain Towers of Time have been outright outrageous. Moreover, the mileage you get out of the currency gained in the Krypt just does not make the effort worth it. With this patch, it’s great to see NetherRealm taking a firm step in addressing a couple of the only problems in the game and working towards making Mortal Kombat 11 all the better.

We went through heck to crack the unlocks for our Mortal Kombat 11 Fatalities list and Krypt key items and Forge recipes, but we’re happy you might not have to suffer as much. It looks to be an exciting and active year for the game. Now that it’s finally out, we can’t wait to see what’s next.
