Monday, April 29th has seen Popular gaming YouTuber Desmond "Etika" Amofah detained by Brooklyn Police Officers during an Instagram live stream where 19,000 viewers saw the incident involving Etika, which has become quickly gone viral on social media worldwide, take place.

According to a report by Kotaku, authorities have confirmed that Etika is currently on the way to a hospital following the YouTuber being detained by Brooklyn Police while he had been broadcasting for 19,000 viewers. The Instagram live stream of the incident involving Etika lasted approximately 45 minutes and consisted of the YouTuber interacting with Police officers at the door of his residence. Eventually, the broadcast by the YouTuber showed authorities making their way into the residence of Etika and detaining him.

Authorities reported to the residence of the content creator following a 911 call from a concerned fan of the content creator alerting Police to the YouTuber's concerning behavior on his Instagram live stream where he had threatened suicide inside of his apartment, according to a statement provided to Kotaku by authorities.
The Instagram live stream incident followed concerning social media behavior from the YouTuber recently where he posted suicidal and anti-semitic messages that quickly drew the attention of many social media users and fans of the gaming personality, according to a report by Newsweek. These messages soon had many become very concerned about the mental health of Etika that looks to have come to a boiling point during his Instagram live stream incident on April 29th.
These series of events soon led to the YouTuber to become a trending topic on Twitter for the entire world in a show of just how many people were engaging in conversation about the incident that took the video game and content creator worlds by storm on Monday.
