This isn't the first time in recent months that EA Games has had some server issues, and a lot of that can be chalked up to the recent success of Apex Legends, which just hit three months since launch.
Support agents at EA Games have been flooded with requests and reports all day today, and there have been two small updates on their twitter account since the outage first started.
Update: Our network teams are working on getting everything restored and are having to run through restarting some systems. We will post more updates on progress as soon as we have them. https://t.co/oYAaBUlzit
